Seriously. Offer only what you would for a car with a blown engine, grinding transmission, etc. If the owner will not accept that price, move on. Taking on half done projects is 9/10 times is a disaster. How are the fasteners/accessories/cable ties/heat shields etc labled? do you just have a cardboard box of nuts and bolts? How many small "unimportant" parts are missing? threads stripped? nightmare. People don't just abondon easy projects. Anytime anyone says to you "just drop it in and finish up xyz super easy things" be very very suspicious. If it was that easy and they took the engine out, why wouldn't they put it back in and sell a whole car?
